DO NOT allow your voice to be silenced! YOU COUNT! YOU MATTER! Visit to learn more and to respond online.

• Every 10 years we are asked to complete a United States Census form. It is a civic duty we should take seriously because it ensures our families and communities are counted.
• Recent reports claim less than 60 percent of Georgians have submitted their Census form. 32 counties have Census completion rates under 40 percent.
• With President Trump deciding to end the Census one month earlier, there is a real chance we will not reach the 72 percent completion rate of 2010.
• The COVID-19 pandemic has prevented the traditional door-to-door canvassing typically associated with the Census.
• We encourage residents to submit their Census form online. It is simple and does not take much time.
• If that is not an option, please consider going to your local church or library to fill out the form.
• Allowing yourself to not be heard can be disastrous for the state and our communities.
• An undercount leads to our state not receiving its fair share of federal funding for education, housing, transportation, healthcare, and other services many are dependent on.
• As important, an undercount impacts the redrawing of local, state and federal representative boundaries. There might be an opportunity to gain another Congressional seat or create a state legislative district that further diversifies the Georgia General Assembly.
• During this pandemic, the state of Georgia needs all the assistance it can get.
• Do not allow your voice to be silenced. You count. You matter. Visit to learn more and to respond online.
